Damn I haven’t gone out 2 nights in a row in a long time, I forgot how fun, and tiring the shit is. Last night I caught another great L.A.free show when I went to the 1st Cannonball show at the “On The Rox” Bar above the Roxy in Hollywood. Tunji the rapper (not the blogger) hosted the event and Dizzy and CurT@!n$ did the damn. UNI, Prez, Dnez, TiRon, THX, Basicali, Hip Hop Official and all kinds of other L.A.ers were in the building as well with Val The Vandle on the 1s and 2s. CurT@!n$ was certainly reppin his Brooklyn roots with the all black suit on, all he was missing was the Versace shades. More pics and videos after the jump.
Last night I actually left this hot ass desert and headed to the city to take in the free U-N-I show that Myspace was throwing at the Echo in Echo Park, and what can I say, like most U-N-I shows, it was jumpin. Well the album hasn’t even dropped yet and I already have A.D.D (no shots). Wale will be one of the 1st of the emcees class featured on the Freshman XXL cover last year to drop his Major label debut Sept 22nd titled Attention Deficit. I personally think that Wale is just aiight, and yes I have listened to all of his mixtapes, including the new one with 9th, so Ive had a change to listen thoroughly before I coming to this conclusion. I think that his best song to date is still Nike Boots and thats almost 2 years old (womp womp). Still, the kid will get his date and we’ll see what happens. Consider yourself informed. Via HHDX

I saw these at Kicks On Fire earlier and the 1st thing that came to mind was the fact that they reminded me of some of my favorite Jordans, the AJ 11s. Now I really don’t have a problem with that because traces of Jordan shoes always seem to show up on other models, because his shoes are the shit, simple and plain. These may be the 1st Lebrons that I actually purchase because the air bubble that is under the entire sole of the shoe is oh so sexy, and the lacing system also looks pretty stupid fresh. No word on a release date, but expect to see these in all kinds of colors and flavors next season.
If you happened to witness the debacle from Weezy and his young money sambos during their performance at the BET Awards last week, you might have noticed the bling blang that Wayne was rocking on his feet. News has now surfaced that the Berlin & Paris based CLVII made the custom shoes for Weez and some detailed pics have surfaced. Im not really a fan of loud sparkley shiny ass shoes, but these may be your cup of tea.

I still have my black pair, but you can never have too many sneakers right? Especially when they are as ill as the Ato Motsumoto Cow Hide boots. This new model will be available in Military green and features a suede upper which is a welcomed change, because all previous models have been patent leather. There are still traces of leather on the toe and side panel which also feature a camo pattern. No word on a price or release date but you can peep some pics of these bad boys after the jump
