Victor Wright, an associate of Kenneth “I got 50 shot Supreme” McGriff, tried to hit U.S. Attorney Carolyn Pokorny with the hawk yesterday in Federal District Court in Brooklyn. Already facing life with no parole, I can easily understand why Vic was like “fuck it, Im gon get mines” (not that we condone hawking lawyers in courtrooms at What Eye Thought). Pokorny was responsible for convicting Wright on drug charges related to ‘Preme in 06, and apparantly Wright hasn’t forgotten. He was uncuffed, standing just a few feet from Pokorny when he made his move.
“He looked at the judge and he looked at Carolyn with total rage in his face and just lunged at her with a razor shiv he must have secreted somewhere from his body,” court reporter Ronald Tolkin told The New York Times. Tolkin jumped on Wright as he choked Pokorny but failed to cut her.
Wright’s own lawyer Harry Batchelder also jumped into the frey.
“As soon as Victor brushed past me and I heard Carolyn scream, I wasn’t going to worry about the attorney-client privilege,” he said. “I joined the party.”
Both Pokorny and Batchelder received medical attention for minor injuries, according to a spokesman for the United States attorney’s office.
