Louis Johnson, who was a part of Mayo’s inner circle until recently, said Mayo accepted around $30,000 in cash and gifts during the past four years from Rodney Guillory, a 43-year-old Los Angeles event promoter. In addition to cash, the gifts included a flat-screen television for Mayo’s dorm room, cell phone service, a hotel room, clothes, meals and airline tickets for Mayo’s friends and a relative, according to Johnson and others with knowledge of the gifts and store receipts.

Well we can all stop speculating on what Hov’s next big move is going to be, because its been announced. The New York Times is reporting that Jay is in the stages of finalizing a deal with the Powerhouse Concert conglomerate for a fat stack of green backs.

Jay-Z plans to depart his longtime record label, Def Jam, for a roughly $150 million package with the concert giant Live Nation that includes financing for his own entertainment venture, in addition to recordings and tours for the next decade. The pact, expected to be finalized this week, is the most expansive deal yet from Live Nation, which has angled to compete directly with the industry’s established music labels in a scrum over the rights to distribute recordings, sell concert tickets, market merchandise and control other aspects of artists’ careers.

Kanye Tudda is bossing up yet again and creating his own travel program. He is set to launch Kanye Travel Ventures (KTV) via his holding company West Brands, LLC. A recent press release states that KTV is “a travel program specifically geared to serve the business and leisure travel demands of Kanye’s world-wide fan base.” The program will offer custom trips with the option to cop concert tickets and other merchandise to coincide with your travel plans. You can get a car, a plane ticket, and set up a Mile High Club meet all on the KTV Website.

“[KTV] has been designed with Kanye and his executive team, and his energy and resources have been devoted to this innovative product offering,” Abrams said. “By securing industry expertise, partnering with global reservations systems, and negotiating high-volume discounts with air, lodging and ground transportation suppliers at varied price points, West Brands has assured that the KTV travel experience will reflect Kanye’s style and approach to living.”
