The Playoffs: The Spurs Are Still The Spurs
Posted in Sports Ish with tags The Playoffs on May 16, 2008 by eightysbaby
I cant stand these dudes, but you must respect the champions. Until someone knocks their dusty asses off of that throne, everyone else can do nothing but throw rocks. It takes Killer instinct to go in someone else’s gym and steal a win, and the Hornets just couldn’t get it done. David west hurt his back, and a lot of the Hornets players, including CP3, were committing a lot of silly fouls that hurt them down the stretch. On top of that Manu hit 6 threes on them Hornets. Game 7 is Monday, we’ll see if the champs can prevail.
Lakers and Celtics attempt to close it out tonight.

I seen a lot of discussions on this list and a whole lot of anger spewed back and forth, but folks gotta remember, this isnt a G.O.A.T list, this is a “Hot” list (if you cant tell that that’s sarcasm, go somewhere). I dont have a problem with Jeezer tho, he may be running on fumes if lyrics were a gas tank, but he does his thizzle. He does have some #1 hits, classic mixtapes, and banging ass albums to his credit also, so bada bing #8.
“This n—a’s insane, yeah a straight fool/ A half-a-million-dollar car and some house shoes/ Call the dealership, like why y’all trick me?/ Then why the hell you put my engine where my trunk be?/ I’m throwing Franklins, I don’t need ones/ I smoke a pound every week like I don’t need lungs/ … I said I’m so hot, but my house cool/ So many rooms it looks like a high school.”
The rest of the list comes on at 10pm Eastern/7pm pacific tonight. I will be watching the Lakers.

Im sure by now that most of you have heard about the young girl going crazy on that poor ol’ lady on that ATL train, and how she recently got hemmed up by the po, and how she’s bi-polar and being treated and all that. That’s fine and good, but you MUST watch this. Put your conscience on the shelf for a minute and bust a gut.

MTV continues on with their hot emcee list and lyrical titan 3 Stacks comes in at #9. I dont know about this list already, I reeeeally hope they dont have soljah boy on this shit, because that would mean that the panel of hip-hopper doing the deliberating need their lives taken in a quick like fashion. To their credit, they did mention the fact that he had no album or singles out, just the lyrical tear he went on hoppin on everybody’s shit. Rick Ross was the co-signer and called him a “Pure Lyricist”, something he’ll never be. Cant argue with that.
“She said, ‘Why in the club, you don’t make it precipitate?/ You know, make it rain when you could make it thunderstorm?’/ I’m like, why? The world needs sun/ The ‘hood needs funds/ There’s a war going on and half the battle is guns/ How dare I throw it on the floor/ When people are poor/ So I write like Edgar Allan to restore/ The ‘hood be requesting my services/ Oh, don’t get nervous, it’s step-your-game-up time/ These ain’t them same old rhymes/ Designed to have you dancing in some club.” — From DJ Drama’s “The Art of Storytellin’ Part 4.”
